GO GREEN COTTAGE GOES LIVE IN DURHAM

Green-built home opens at Streets at Southpoint

Sun River Builders is pleased to announce the opening of The Go Green Cottage at the Streets at Southpoint Mall in Durham. The 1,206-square-foot fully furnished, crafstman-style home was constructed in one week and is open for free tours during mall hours through May 17. Available for $89,900, the two-bedroom, one-bathroom cottage features an environmentally friendly style with antique accents. Throughout the home, doorways and windows reflect the craftsman style of yesteryear, while carpet recycled from soda bottles and dual-flush toilets meet the needs of eco-friendly buyers. The home features hardwood oak floors, a tile shower/tub combination, open contemporary staircase and loft area, which can be converted to an additional bedroom and full bath, office, or bonus room. The home’s Energy Star certification guarantees a 5 percent reduction in monthly energy costs. The home has also met the national standards for green building certification.
